About Lori Young
Lori Young is a garden designer specializing in creating Sacred Spaces for healing, contemplation, and reflection. Her designs integrate a blend of elements such as Feng Shui, Biodynamics, BioGeometry, and Native American Healing Arts. Through her work, Lori fosters harmony between the natural elements—earth, flora, fauna—and humanity, cultivating spaces that heal both the land and the people who experience them.
Growing up in the foothills of the Adirondacks, Lori considered nature her first classroom. Her journey as a designer took her through New Jersey and Pennsylvania, where she studied Environmental Design and Major Native Landscapes at Delaware Valley University. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Interfaith Ministry. Throughout her career, Lori has designed landscapes for a variety of spaces, including hospitals, religious establishments, non-profits, and residential properties, creating beautiful healing gardens, edible landscapes, and children’s gardens.
Lori believes that healing begins with honoring Mother Earth. By nurturing the land with organic practices, she works to reverse the negative impacts of urban sprawl, technology, and pollution.
Now based in Rochester, NY, Lori spends much of her time immersed in nature, deepening her connection to the sacredness of space and supporting the healing of the elements. Her goal is to create healthy, enduring places for future generations.
