Sacred Breadth was founded in 2005 by Lori Young as a garden design and build company dedicated to creating sacred spaces for healing, contemplation, and prayer.
The work is rooted in crafting organic, harmonious environments where nature and spirit are seamlessly intertwined. Each design reflects a blending of biodynamics, Feng Shui, Bio-Geometry, and Native American Healing Arts, supporting not only the physical landscape, but the emotional, energetic, and spiritual experience of a place.
At the core of this work is a deep respect for the land. The process begins with the soil—awakening and restoring it biodynamically—creating a living foundation that supports balance, vitality, and long-term health. From there, each layer of the landscape is developed with intention, forming a cohesive, evolving ecosystem rather than a static design.
Sacred Breadth works in relationship with the existing conditions of each site, enhancing the natural patterns, movement, and energy already present. The goal is not to impose, but to reveal and support what is inherently there, allowing spaces to become restorative, functional, and deeply connected to their environment.
This approach extends beyond design into a broader environmental awareness. Through sacred energy mapping, attention is given to both harmonious and disruptive forces within a space, including geopathic stresses and environmental imbalances. By working with these subtle patterns, landscapes can be gently realigned to support a greater sense of balance, stability, and coherence.
At the same time, Sacred Breadth is committed to supporting biodiversity and ecological health through the use of native plants, local materials, and organic practices. These choices strengthen habitat systems, support pollinators, and contribute to the long-term resilience of the land.
Underlying all of this work is a simple principle: the health of the land and the well-being of all living systems are interconnected. When the land is restored with care and intention, it naturally supports the healing of the whole—earth, plant, animal, and human alike.
